Abraquest Release 2.7.0.0

Announcing Abraquest Release 2.7. 2.7.x releases are going to be in the most minor improvement releases, because a lot of work is going on behind the scenes to integrate Abraquest with the cloud so as to offer this as an optional low cost extra to customers.

Abraquest databases live on your local library computer, so it is important to do regular backups to the network or a USB stick. This release adds a further option that is easier to use and more convenient than either: Abraquest Automated Backup, backs up to your own private cloud. Assuming your library computer has Internet access, the system just works, it offers a quick and easy backup, along with allowing you to see past backups. It also has an automatic housekeeping function where backups can be kept up to 10 years but it will only be one a week after a certain timescale, and once a month or six months after that.

This product is currently in beta (being trialled by interested customers), so we will be announcing it on the website when the beta period has been ended and any minor bugs have been ironed out. Watch this space!
