New Abraquest User Guide and Online Help
The main new features of the next release of the Abraquest School Library Software, Abraquest 2.5.0 are the new easy to use menu system and the revised User Guide and help system, which is the subject of this post.
The Abraquest Getting Started Guide has been merged into a separate section of the Abraquest User Guide.
This is available from the Help menu within Abraquest:
About - gives the old Help page which shows the current version of Abraquest and Contact Details
Current Page Help... - this new option opens up the help file reference topic for the current page. Pressing F1 anywhere within Abraquest (short cut text not shown in the screen print) will also have the same effect.
Show Help File... - this new option shows the help file starting with the front page, allowing the user to browse, search, read any help topic with a minimum of fuss.
User Guide (PDF)... - this new option opens up a PDF user guide (you must have a PDF viewer installed on your PC for this to work).
The new documentation is currently being reviewed as I write and will be released along with Abraquest 2.5.0 later this week. Copies will also be stored in the help website as always.
