Philip Johnson has been a software developer since 1983 and has been involved with Abraquest since 2004. He is the director of Spherical Software Limited (www.sphericalsoftware.com), the company that owns Abraquest.
Next Release of Abraquest
The next Release of Abraquest will be a big release that contains a lot of requests from customers this year. As always this is free of charge for Abraquest Software Assurance customers.
We have already blogged about this in October - see Coming soon in Abraquest in 2018 for more details.
We have delayed this release slightly to put even more into it, including:
- New Catalogue Card form with the ability to tag books.
- Work on Reservations.
- Improvments to Reviews (allowing teacher to review a review before publishing).
- Reinstating User Maintenance, which was pulled a while ago due to a bug.
- Query book status
- If issuing a book that hasn't been returned, the system will ask if you wish to continue (it will then return and issue in one step).
- More reports.
The aim is to have this release out by the end of 2018 ready for when our customers come back after the new year holiday.
